“CHEW is a non-profit dog rescue organization dedicated to promoting the health and welfare of canine companions throughout the Gig Harbor Peninsula. Additionally, we promote responsible dog ownership through the facilitation of educational and recreational activities and events.”
CHEW Dog Rescue is the best bunch of dog people this side of the Cascades. They are a tireless group of volunteers who donate their time by opening their homes to fostering abandoned dogs and finding perfect new forever families to love them.
We love volunteering with the CHEW crew! So much so that we became foster parents in July, then who successfully placed our first foster, “Zara” the siberian husky last August. Next month, we are looking forward to taking pictures in CHEW’s photo booth at the PenMet Scarecrow Festival on October 5, 2013. There’s a rumor going around that a very special guest will be joining us in the booth to take pictures with everyone. To find out who, stop by and say hi!
